FAQ
Window Tinting questions.
How dark can I legally go in New York?+
Front side windows and the windshield must let at least 70% of light through. Sedans also need 70% on the rear side windows and rear glass. SUVs, vans, and pickups can go as dark as you want behind the driver. Full details on our New York tint law page.
How long does tinting take?+
Two to three hours for most cars. Bring it in the morning and it is usually ready the same day.
Will it bubble or turn purple?+
No. We only install ceramic and carbon film that is color stable, and it carries a proposed 5-year manufacturer warranty, pending confirmation against bubbling, peeling, and fading.
Does ceramic tint actually keep the car cooler?+
Yes. Ceramic film blocks most infrared heat, so the cabin cools faster and the AC works less. It is the film we recommend for anyone parked outside all day.
Can you remove old tint?+
Yes, removal starts at $75 and we clean off all the old adhesive before the new film goes on.
