How long does PPF last?+
Longevity depends on the film and maintenance. Exact film brand and warranty terms are awaiting confirmation; ask Sumi before booking.
Does it turn yellow?+
Modern urethane films like XPEL, SunTek, and STEK have UV inhibitors and stay clear. Yellowing is a problem with older or bargain films we do not install.
Can it be removed without damaging paint?+
Yes. On factory paint, film is removed with gentle heat and comes off clean. That is exactly why it works so well on leased cars.
Can you wash and wax over it?+
Yes. Hand wash normally, avoid pressure-washing film edges up close, and use non-abrasive wax or sealant. Wait about a week after install before the first wash.
Does it self-heal?+
Light swirls and wash marks disappear with heat from the sun or warm water. Deep gouges that cut through the film do not.
Does it work with a ceramic coating?+
Yes. Coating over the film makes it easier to clean and adds hydrophobic gloss. Film goes on first, coating on top.
